Construction of the first bank branch, which JHS not only pioneered, but became the leader for over 20 years, with a total of over 1,000 bank branches built for over 20 financial institutions.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

The first step in residential building development marks the beginning of two areas of expertise, Development and Construction, which would lead JHS to build over 6,000,000 square meters over the next 20 years.

Engineering

The period was marked by the delivery of major works, including the Transamérica Hotel Comandatuba Island, GM’s Test Tracks, the Bovespa and BMF headquarters.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

JHSF launches residential buildings with a global finishing standard, notably Paço do Sion Building and Royal Gate Building.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

JHSF innovates with the launch of the American Loft Building, the first of its kind in São Paulo.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

JHSF creates its Properties area, being the first company to deploy and operate AAA buildings, with features and technical innovations superior to anything in the market, notably the Metropolitan Office Building on Amauri Street and the Platinum Building, on Jerônimo da Veiga Street. JHSF acts as a partner in the incorporation of the San Paolo Building, located on Avenida Faria Lima.

SHOPPING CENTERS AND FASHION RETAIL

JHSF creates the Shopping Division and marks its presence in the market with the inauguration of Shopping Metrô Santa Cruz, the first mall fully integrated with a subway station in Brazil.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

JHSF Incorporadora launches the Paris Building, a definitive mark in high-end residential buildings, with the size of American buildings, new to the Brazilian market. The year is also marked by the inauguration of the Banco Santos Building, on Rua Hungria, which is undoubtedly a new milestone in the city of São Paulo.

Worth Magazine, a North American publication that circulates investors and money manager, selected Vitra for the list of the world’s ten best residential buildings. Along with emblematic buildings such as One Hyde Park in London, which has the world’s most expensive square footage, and One57, in New York, Vitra is picked out for attributes such as the excellence of its architect, Daniel Libeskind and its localization in one of São Paulo’s best neighborhoods.

Época Negócios magazine, a prestigious monthly magazine by Editora Globo, awarded to JHSF the prize of best company in Brazil in the Real Estate sector in the Anuário Época Negócios 360º  (Época Business Yearbook 360º ) in 2012.  In the ranking of the 200 best companies in the country, we are among the first 40. This conquest is even more significant because of the way the ranking, one of the country’s most consistent, is produced. Six aspects are evaluated: financial results, corporate governance, capacity for innovation, human resources policies, socio-environmental responsibility and vision for the future.

Cidade Jardim Corporate Center, the office complex that is part of Parque Cidade Jardim, which also includes 9 residential towers and Shopping Cidade Jardim mall, received the AQUA sustainable construction seal. Cidade Jardim was the development which has ranked highest in points up to the present, having been classified “Excellent” in nine factors and “Superior” in another five. We are posting the article published in Green Building magazine so that you may know why the project deserved the certification.

Carrying enormous prestige in the business and construction sectors, the Pini prize indicates the best companies in the sector. In 2014 JHSF was picked as the best developer in the country. We were also recognized for the “company’s behavior with its clients”. The November special edition has the winners and an article about JHSF.

Sustainability

JHSF embraces the best sustainability practices at all stages of the projects it develops.

The Cidade Jardim Corporate Center (SP), the first and largest sustainable corporate project in Brazil, is one of the very few in the country exhibiting the AQUA (High Environmental Quality) certificate from Fundação Vanzolini, during the “Schedule” and “Design” stages.

JHSF is also involved in social responsibility projects within the communities adjacent to its developments, in addition to supporting several health care and educational projects, such as: Verdescola, the Ayrton Senna Institute, Childhood Brazil, Brazil Foundation, LIDE/EDH– Business Leaders Group /Businessmen for Human Development and Abrace—the Brazilian Association for Special Care Adolescents and Children.

Also, the company has invested in building the new GRAACC children’s cancer hospital, and is associated with the Ethos Institute for Social Responsibility.
